Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about extracting PDF pages

How do I select multiple pages?

Simply click on each page thumbnail you want to extract. Click again to deselect. You can also use Select All or Select Range buttons for faster selection of many pages.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. All PDF page extraction happens entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your files never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy.

Will the extracted pages lose quality?

No. The extraction uses lossless page copying. The original page content, images, fonts, and metadata are preserved exactly as they were in the source PDF.

Is there a limit on PDF size or page count?

There is no hard limit. However, rendering thumbnails for very large PDFs (hundreds of pages) may take time and consume memory. For best performance, use PDFs with fewer than 200 pages.

Can I select non-contiguous pages?

Yes. You can select any combination of pages in any order. The extracted PDF will preserve your selection order.

What if I want to delete pages instead of extracting?

We have a dedicated Delete PDF Pages tool. It uses the same visual selection interface but produces a PDF with the selected pages removed. Visit our PDF tools section to find it.
