Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about converting images to PDF

What image formats are supported?

We support JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP image formats. Each image becomes one page in the resulting PDF document. Animated GIFs will only use the first frame.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All image to PDF conversion happens entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your images never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy.

What is the difference between A4 mode and Original mode?

A4 mode fits each image onto a standard A4 page (210x297mm) with auto-orientation detection and optional margins. Original mode creates a page with the exact pixel dimensions of each image, scaled to points at 72 DPI.

Is there a limit on the number of images?

There is no hard limit. However, processing hundreds of high-resolution images may consume significant memory. For best performance, convert fewer than 100 images at a time.

Can I reorder images before converting?

Yes. After uploading, you can drag and drop image thumbnails to rearrange them in any order. You can also remove individual images or use the move up/down buttons.

Will the image quality be reduced in the PDF?

No. Images are embedded into the PDF in their original format and quality. JPG images are embedded as JPEG, and PNG images are embedded as PNG with lossless quality.
